Windows into the Parade is a vibrant and dynamic piece from the Symphony collection, which explores the intricate relationship between color, rhythm, and movement. Each work in the Symphony series functions as a unique musical movement, where the artist, both creator and conductor, translates a symphonic experience into a visual form.
In this particular piece, bursts of vivid color and fluid, sweeping shapes evoke the exuberance and energy of a parade, while the calming background creates a space for quiet reflection. The delicate black lines interwoven throughout the composition serve as a visual metaphor for structure, balance, and harmony—offering a rhythmic framework in which the colors can dance and flow.
As you engage with Windows into the Parade, you might almost “hear” the pulse of its rhythm, as though each brushstroke is an audible note in an ongoing symphony. “Listening” to this rhythm deepens the viewer’s experience, inviting a more immersive connection to the piece. It’s a connection that transcends time and space, unfolding in a reality that is always present, waiting to be perceived.
Windows into the Parade was completed in 2023 at the artist’s studio in Soho, New York.
