The Unclassified collection is an exploration of the spaces between definition and ambiguity, where form, color, and texture refuse to be confined to any single category or expectation. It challenges our conventional ways of seeing and understanding by presenting works that resist easy classification, inviting the viewer to confront the complexity and nuance that exists beyond labels. Each piece in the collection unfolds like an open question, a visual invitation to explore what lies outside the boundaries of tradition and structure. Coexisting in a delicate balance, order and unpredictability create a harmonious tension, urging us to embrace the unknown and reconsider the very act of classification itself. “Unclassified” becomes not just a collection of works, but a metaphor for the limitless potential of creativity—untethered, unconstrained, and full of possibility.
Behind the Mask No. VIII ©2020
17 x 16 inches (43.18 x 40.64 cm) (Stretched)
The collection "Behind the Mask" is a series of nine original paintings on canvas that began in the late spring of 2020 when most people were leaving the major cities to find peace and space: the artist remained in New York. Watching the people behind masks during the day while the night was still. Day after day, night after night so many different images and colors resonated and then transposed onto canvas. The collection takes you into the complexities of our mind, and the use of color that creates the metaphor, as each piece slowly unravels into form. The green tones depict new beginnings and growth. The gold tones represent the pavement of prosperity and achievement in harmony with the universe. The dance is a celebration of embracing you and the mantra “I am who I am and that is enough.”
The mediums in the painting are enamel, acrylic, gold leaf on canvas.

In this painting, I blend the stark simplicity of geometric shapes with the vibrant expressiveness of abstract splashes. The ethereal, radiant yellow circle represents a beacon of hope and continuity, set against lyrical splatters that capture life’s unpredictable beauty. Using acrylic and enamel, I enhance the texture and deepen the visual impact, imbuing the piece with dynamic energy and a subtle whisper of optimism, perfect for invigorating any space.

Unclassified No. 3 begins with stark, sweeping strokes that echo the ocean’s vastness. There’s a tension here—something barely contained, yet always in motion, pulsing with energy, holding a secret beneath the surface.
The abstract shapes begin to soften, and figures slowly emerge, as if born from the sea itself. Curved lines suggest faces in motion; a swirl of pale blue hints at an arm raised in dance. These figures are alive in their stillness, suspended in a dance of creation.
The rhythm is quiet, yet undeniable. It evokes the ebb and flow of the sea—unpredictable, graceful, eternal. The figures unfold gently, like a held breath, coming into existence with introspective grace. Unclassified No. 3 invites a deeper exploration of movement and transformation. Like the sea, life is ever evolving. The dance is not just physical, but mental and spiritual, unfolding beyond words. The dance, like the sea, is an endless, ever-changing creation.
