Stella Michaels is a contemporary painter born & raised in New York. She has been described as a channel of the past traveling on a highway to the future; a medium between people & paintings. She acquired her BFA from New York University, where she focused on both the visual & performing arts. Ms. Michaels amplified her visual expression, utilising her proficiency in sound & vision to execute her operatic paintings.

Working from various studios in New York she began to display her work in a mobile pop-up shop, showcasing & selling on Madison Avenue at the Mark & Carlyle hotels, to the Meatpacking district at the Standard hotel. Ms. Michaels found great success with collectors worldwide. Best known for her blend of abstract, pop-edge sensibility; coupled with a signature rock 'n roll swagger, she traces the boundaries of spontaneity & precision in equal measure. The paintings embody and meld sound & vision; spontaneous cliff notes to choreographed dances that give life to raw canvas', found objects, plaques, etc... She is able to achieve exceptional results through mediums that include enamels, metals, acrylic, & paper appliqués, creating a symphony of visual rhythms & sounds that resonate from ambiance to power pop.
