Abstract Pop Geometric, No. 102 is part of the “Elements” Collection, a series that explores the interplay of geometry, color, and rhythm. Michaels’ experiments with raw canvas to create a multidimensional surface, inviting the viewer into a deeper engagement with the work.
The textured background sets the stage for the square, circle, triangle, and lines that define the composition. The artist’s use of primary colors reflects her interest in philosophy, spirituality, and the belief that evolution can be achieved through abstraction.
The triangle symbolizes a strong foundation, representing manifestation, enlightenment, and the cycles of growth toward a higher reality. The square, with its four points, evokes the four seasons, four elements of Earth, and the four phases of human life. The circle, with no beginning or end, signifies the eternal and infinite.
These shapes and colors create a harmonious contrast, reflecting the balance and tension of dynamic forces and the unity of art and life.
Completed in 2023 at the artist’s studio in New York.
