Circuit Board No. 2 is part of the Pop Movements series, which explores the intersection of geometry, color, and rhythm to unlock the keys to our enchanting realm. In this work, I continue my experimentation with raw canvas, combining acrylic and enamel mediums to create a tactile, textured surface that invites both visual engagement and touch.
At the core of Circuit Board No. 2, a rich purple circle emerges against a vibrant gold background, symbolizing focus, creativity, and transformation. The gold serves as a radiant foundation, evoking warmth, vitality, and strength. Surrounding the purple circle, soft pink scratches gently trace its perimeter, adding a dynamic, organic touch to the otherwise clean, geometric composition. These pink accents introduce a sense of movement, creating a subtle but profound interaction between the controlled geometry of the circle and the spontaneous energy of the perimeter.
The contrast between the warmth of gold, the richness of purple, and the soft, gestural pink lines creates a delicate balance between order and chaos, stillness and movement. Circuit Board No. 2 invites the viewer into a space where color, shape, and texture converge, sparking a conversation about energy, transformation, and the fluid nature of creation.
Circuit Board No. 2 was completed in the fall of 2024 at my studio in Soho, New York.
